Nokian NPT Oy chose Mavisystems to supply its Microsoft Dynamics system to boost operations.

Nokian NPT Oy is a sheet metal and steel structure sub-contractor machine shop with more than 100 employees. Its objective is to develop the monitoring of its production and the integration of its electronic supply network. Mavisystems was chosen to supply the Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision (now Microsoft Dynamics NAV) system due to its in-depth experience in industrial ERP systems.

Nokian NPT chose Microsoft’s ERP system after researching four leading ERP systems designed for growing businesses. The central criteria for making the decision were the secure future of the product, modern technology and attributes that would cover the requirements set by operations.
At the purchasing stage the important attributes were graphic production planning, the calculation of actual costs and time used in manufacturing products and the possibility to receive customers’ orders electronically.  

“An important requirement for a sub-contractor is the easy creation of new products according to the customer’s blue-prints. By fine-tuning this functionality Mavisystems was able to demonstrate the flexibility of the Microsoft Navision software right at the presentation stage. We also appreciate the possibility to adapt Navision’s frames and reports ourselves”, explains Mika Nokelainen, Production Manager, Nokian NPT.
