Mavisystems provided the Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV system for Profood Oy for the start of the potato season.

Profood Oy processes over 50 million kilograms of potatoes a year and its turnover is EUR 16 million. The company employs over 50 people. It needed an ERP system quickly when it bought Raisio’s potato business in the spring. Mavisystems was asked to supply the Microsoft Dynamics NAV system because of our quick delivery methods and excellent track record.

Profood brand names are, for example, Kokin Parhaat (frozen potato products) and Mummon Muusi (powdered mashed potato). The company needed a modern ERP solution which is easy to use on a daily basis, can be integrated into the supply chain’s electronic messaging solutions and could be rolled out quickly.
The project’s timetable was demanding. The basic functions had to be up and running in ten weeks: sales, invoicing, production, warehousing, purchasing, payment transactions and electronic contact with customers (Ateriamestarit) and the external warehouse (KWH Freeze). After all this there was still the financial administration, reporting and batch-controlled barcode-based picking to fine-tune.
